Kelsey Drew, M.Sc.P.T. – Physiotherapy Resident

Kelsey started her physiotherapy journey in Halifax, NS where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree (Honours) in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University. During her undergraduate years, she volunteered in multiple physiotherapy clinics which led her to pursue a Masters in Physiotherapy at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON.

While at Queen’s, Kelsey was fortunate to have had fulfilling and enriching clinical placement experiences and opportunities, in which she witnessed the effect of different therapeutic approaches on patient satisfaction and recovery. These experiences reinforced her belief that client care and treatment is a collaborative practice between the client and the health care team. Her goal is to work with her clients in a way that emphasizes individualized, direct-hands on care, and education.

The fact that physiotherapy is a constantly evolving profession excites Kelsey, and she makes it her prerogative to ensure that she is incorporating evidence-based techniques in to her treatment plans. Kelsey certified in Soft Tissue Release and in the next year will be pursuing certification in Neurokinetic Therapy®, dry needling, and pelvic floor physiotherapy. Kelsey is also trained in instrument assisted soft tissue release techniques and the use of Shockwave Therapy.

Kelsey is excited to be a part of the integrative health professional team at OC3!
